X-Band Radar

EEC’s DWSR-2001X offers affordable power and precision to predict hazardous weather for short and medium range surveillance and is designed for continuous 24/7 unattended operation. This radar system is ideally suited for the most demanding of mobile research applications, but is also available for fixed-site use.

This powerful X-Band (3 cm) magnetron-based Doppler weather surveillance radar was developed using technical and manufacturing expertise gained over 30 years of producing the industry’s most innovative radar systems. The entire DWSR-2001X design emphasizes precision, stability, reliability and value using modular hardware construction.

The transmitter generates a 200 KW peak RF power pulse with the durations of 0.2, 0.4, 1.0 and 2.0 microseconds, providing excellent weather detection at the maximum range in all modes. The transmitter radiates in stagger PRF modes at 3:2, 4:3 and 5:4 ratios, allowing dual PRF sampling by the radar signal processor to produce unambiguous velocity values at 64 m/s in short pulse, which is unparalleled in the industry.

Particle interfaces make implementing a wide range of software-based control systems easy. The DWSR-2001X offers maximum flexibility, value and ease of use for the world’s most demanding applications and users.
