WSI Flight Plan Capture and Dynamic Flight Briefing
Birmingham, UK, 27th January, 2006 — WSI (Weather Services International) today announced the release of Version 7.7 of WSI Pilotbrief International. This latest release incorporates significantly expanded functionality with WSI Planupdate™ and WSI Dynamic Route Briefing. WSI Planupdate™ has the ability to capture and read airline operating flight plans so that automatic briefings, which include weather, chart and NOTAM elements, may then be generated based upon the route contained within the flight plan. Another key feature is the intelligent attachment of documentation from across the airline enterprise enabling electronic distribution of documents such as airport charts, internal memos, manual updates etc. to crew members. WSI Pilotbrief International Version 7.7 removes manual input from the process and enables crew members to access the flight plan, briefing and other documents from a single source.
Complementing WSI Planupdate™, WSI Dynamic Route Briefing generates a single briefing from multiple flight plans as defined by an airline schedule. This allows crew members to self-brief once for all sectors to be flown during their assigned duty period. PBI Print has also been upgraded to print different files types including PDF, Word and Excel.

The flight plan drives the weather, chart and NOTAM elements of the briefing package allowing a complete briefing to be retrieved at a single click. Multi sector briefings may also be automatically generated. WSI Dynamic Flight Briefing enables an airline to increase staff productivity by removing time consuming manual tasks and allowing staff to access all relevant information from a single point.
